Kings Pantry

The King's Pantry is continually growing and adapting to the needs of the community. We collect from a number of supermarkets in Maidstone several times a week for surplus food and to collect the generous donations in the food collection baskets from customers. Thank you!

We have fresh, frozen & refrigerated food, including some gluten free, sugar free and diabetic friendly food and some healthy eating ingredients. We believe just because someone is in food poverty they should not have to compromise trying to look after their health, if they can.

As well as food, we have toiletries, cleaning items, some baby and sanitary products and we stock some basic pet food so that we are in a position to help people who are referred to us with emergency shopping for several days.

At Christmas we receive gift donations from businesses and are able to bless those who come to us for help with food thanks to their thoughfulness.

Volunteers from MADM facilitate The Bread and Butter Thing food club at Trinity Foyer in the town centre each week in order to help those members, many of whom came to our food bank, to be more sustainable with their budgets by purchasing through the club. Instead of being dependent on emergency food and having to get a referral to us, they can join the club and are free to make the decision whether they want to use the club each week or not.
